CONDITIONS OF SALE AND TERMS OF BUSINESS
WARNING – ALL GLASS CAN EASILY BROKEN OR SCRATCHED
PLEASE – inspect your work/order as soon as it is completed/delivered/collected, as we the company cannot and will not accept any further responsibility once you have taken delivery.
Items correct to order and your instructions are non-returnable except by prior arrangement.
Glass specially ordered or produced is not returnable.
No responsibility is accepted for breakage or failure of customers own glass or fittings, i.e. explosion or cracking of glass in fitting, failure of channels, frames etc, due to deterioration etc, loss of flexibility or elasticity of rubbers or mouldings making resealing or re-seating unsightly or ineffective.
Payment is due on completion of any order unless credit facilities have been previously agreed
All transactions are covered by these conditions unless and only if they are varied by special terms or conditions in writing between the parties.
- Not withstanding that the risk in the goods has passed to the customer, ownership thereof shall not pass to the customer unless and until all money owing to the company by the customer has been paid.
- Not withstanding the provisions of paragraph (a) of this condition, the customer may sell such goods in the ordinary course of trading provided always that whilst any money remains owing by the Customer to the Company for the proceeds of sale of such goods.
- The customer hereby grants to the Company an irrecoverable and irrevocable licence to enter at any time and Vehicles or Premises owned or occupied by the Customer or in his Possession for the purpose of repossessing and removing any such goods the ownership of which has remained in the Company under paragraph (a) of this Condition and the Company shall not be responsible for and the Customer will indemnify the Company against liability in respect of damage caused to such Vehicles and Premises in such repossession and removal being damage it was not reasonably practicable to avoid.
All replacement work carried out by the Company is guaranteed for a period of twelve months from the date recorded on the invoice. The cover includes installation, workmanship and any subsequent leakage.
Any rectification work necessary will be carried out during normal working hours by any Silver Shield Service Centre who reserve the right to have the vehicle brought to our premises for such rectification.
Such guarantee will apply provided that no exclusion is recorded at the time due to prior bodywork corrosion / damage or inclement weather conditions which will be noted under section 2 of our invoices. Further, the guarantee shall not apply while our charge remains outstanding after the agreed payment terms have elapsed and neither is the guarantee transferable on the sale or transfer of the vehicle to which such guarantee applies.
Exclusions to guarantee extend to situations arising from conditions referred to in section 2
